The Federal Chancellery building (Kanzleramt) in Bonn was the seat of the Federal Chancellery of the Federal Republic of Germany from 1976 to 1999 and is particularly worth a visit for those interested in history.

Since it is still used for ministries, there is not really much to explore - at least you can see Helmut Schmidt's desk and the cabinet room - so you get a little insight into the political work of that time.

In total, the Chancellery was used by three Federal Chancellors (Helmut Schmidt, Helmut Kohl and Gerhard Schröder).
